apply_filters( ‘wp_generator_type’, string $generator_type ): Filters the output of the XHTML generator tag.

Uses	Description
the_generator()`wp-includes/general-template.php`	Displays the generator XML or Comment for RSS, ATOM, etc.
apply_filters()`wp-includes/plugin.php`	Calls the callback functions that have been added to a filter hook.
